Hey Tigers,
Are you ready for the time of your life?
We thought it would be helpful to provide you with some parking and transportation details in the hopes that we can make your 60th reunion a stress-free and glorious experience. For complete 60th information, please see the One Stop 60th Reunion Page.
The University Parking and Transportation Website
The first thing to explore is the University web site for parking and transportation. To access hit this link. You can download the map if you wish.
Note that on the top map the blue line shows the ADA-accessible Tiger Transit Campus Service which has ten stops circling the campus and runs until 3:00 AM each day. The black inner line shows the Elm Drive Trolley that circles the inner campus each day until 1:00 AM.
Below that map is the list of hotels served by the Hotel Shuttle Service which stops at each hotel every 45 minutes. If you are not staying at any of those hotels, one option for you is to park at one of these hotels and take the shuttle from there. The shuttle runs each day to 3:00 AM. Note that the hotel shuttle drops you on the south part of campus at the Wawa, and that the Elm Drive trolley is very close by to take you up campus if you don’t want to walk.
On campus parking options are found at this same web site.
For those with mobility issues there are three options.
Personal Golf Cart Rentals
Personal golf cart rentals are only available for Reunion attendees with mobility impairments and alumni with a medical condition or permanent disability. (The University reserves the right to ask for a copy of a state-issued HC ID card, HC license plate or HC placard.) Please share the below information with classmates who are interested in ordering a personal cart. Personal carts are available to rent for the P-rade only or for use throughout Reunions.
Personal Mobility Scooter Rentals
Alumni may rent scooters for medical use at their own expense and can contact Monroe Medical Supplies for information on pricing and delivery to campus.
Our Two Assigned Golf Carts
We have two golf carts assigned to our reunion that must be driven by students and which will only be available for limited times for campus travel but not during mealtimes. If you would like a lift with one of our carts let someone at the registration desk know when and where you wish to go and we will determine if that time is possible. If you have significant mobility issues, we recommend you rent your own cart; there surely will be a lot more demand for these two carts than we can satisfy. We cannot get more carts.
For the Saturday P-rade
For the P-rade, we have rented our own open-sided trolley which can accommodate 38 passengers along with golf carts for an additional 11 passengers. Those wishing to ride during the P-rade convene on Elm Drive before the P-rade starts at 2:00 PM.
For the Sunday Brunch
Our Sunday brunch ending our 60th Reunion is being held at Procter Hall at the Graduate School from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM where there is ample parking for a quick get-away after the brunch and which is accessible via bus from the main campus. See bus schedules from Nassau Street to Graduate College here.
As always, when moving around the campus, patience is required so don’t let anything get in the way of you having a great time at our 60th Reunion.
Are you ready for the best 3-day party of your life?
With Tiger pride,
Your 60th Reunion Committee
