The Class has received word that Ted Nicholson died August 19, 2019.

Ted entered Princeton with the Class of ’65, after graduating from Gloversville High School, in Gloversville, New York. At Princeton, he majored in English, ate as an independent, and lived in Lockhart Hall his senior year.

In 2019, he reported that after graduation, he was awarded a fellowship to teach English in Beirut, and that he later was employed in sales for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and for the Cunard Line. The last employment he listed was as a taxi driver in New York City.

Alumni records show Fort Bragg, California, as his most recent address.

In response to the class birthday card, Ted wrote:

In response to your letter...After Princeton I got a fellowship to teach English in Beirut, Lebanon. I was an English major. Returning to the U.S. in '68. I got a job in sales at U.S. Chamber of Commerce, under Bill Baterce. Also, I sold at Cunard Line under Jim Mooney. Also drove a taxi in NYC out of Terminal Systems.

In California I worked at Security Pacific Bank under Orville Sayre. The art spirit got hold of me...so it's been art ever since, my attitude being "Kilroy was here!"

p.s. Guys I used to know: Freshman year roommates [all '65]: Karl Zimmerman, Bill Daly, Ken Neeld. Also, I knew Mike Hadnall, John Trudy, and Brad Bay. All three are no longer.
