’66 Healthy Aging Network

November 18, 2023

To the Great Class of ’66,

September was officially “Healthy Aging Month” in the U.S. The timing is perfect to announce a new program we are offering classmates and spouses. We call it the ’66 Healthy Aging Network. The Network is intended to be a resource for health and aging questions that we all have, supported by experienced and knowledgeable '66 classmates. This project is open to classmates, their spouses, and family.

The Network’s initial focus is to provide access to discussion of medical issues with classmates who have had careers as physicians. We have organized a group of physicians, vetted by our committee, who have volunteered their time and experience in assisting classmates in navigating the medical system.

The Network will provide a platform for a general discussion of medical issues and the best care available for a particular disorder. Network volunteers will be more like consultants and navigators. They will not serve in lieu of personal physicians, nor will they be providing specific medical advice, giving diagnoses, prescribing medications or charging fees. Communications with them will be confidential.

The volunteers in the Network group cover many medical specialty and geographic areas. Some have had careers in clinical practice, some in research and some in medical education.

You will find everything on how to proceed, as well as the contact information, areas of expertise and basic biographical data of this initial group of physicians at this link.

Healthy Aging is a main focus for us all, and we hope the Network will be a beneficial addition for the Class of 1966.
