DONALD PEARCE HUBBARD

Don Hubbard died early in our sophomore year from injuries suffered in an automobile
accident in Rumson, New Jersey. Don, age 18 at the time of his death, was the driver
of the car. One of the other three passengers, Charles Cook, 21, was also killed. The
one-car accident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 22,1963. The car had just
pulled out of a curve after crossing the Seabright-Rumson bridge when it skidded and
crashed into a tree.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. Hubbard, of Middletown, New Jersey, Don was
born in Red Bank and later moved to Fair Haven. He graduated from Rumson-Fair
Haven Regional High School, where he distinguished himself in football, baseball and
wrestling. He is survived by his parents; his sister, Donna Louise Hubbard; and his
maternal grandfather, Amiel Stalda.
